Throttle body Sync

My 06 fz6 has about 19000mi,will a throttle body sync make a noticable change? Other maintenace seems to have been overlooked by prev owner. Can the same sync tool used on bikes be used on cars also? For $80-90 it would be nice to use it for something else.

Don't know about using it on your car BUT at 19K you should notice the motor smoother if the throttle bodies are out of sync plus an oil, air filter, spark plug change would all help too.

I did all the mantenance that i could without special tools,Oil,filter, airfilter,chain ,all controls adjusted and lubed.

It should make a nice difference and smoothing the engine idle and performance out. I deffinately felt a big difference after a TB sync.

I used it on my FZ to help smooth the vibes (got rid of 90% of them). (Re-checking/adjusting at 4k RPM and idle took care of it..)

I used my Morgan carbtune on numerous bikes including my FJR, its paid for itself already many times over. Also, you know its been done and done right .

You can visually see the improvement over what you started with. The local shop down here charged over $100 for one sync on the FJR. They had it within spec, but I was able to get it closer to dead on.

The Morgan carb tune cost about $85 to my door direct from England... Excellent service BTW.. And I love the tool..


I also used it on my Yamaha 4 cylinder 150HP outboard engine. Two FI bodies(one sync screw) with 4 openings (for each cylinder).

You can't go wrong with a Carbtune...................... brilliant piece of kit, dead easy to use.

Unless your car has separate throttle bodies, there's nothing to sync on the car. Most cars are FI with one throttle body.

The FZ has 4 separate throttle bodies.

Any motorcycle with more than one carb / throttle body can be sync'ed with this tool..
