Lol! Extended swingarm.....Lol! That is like having a big friggin exhaust pipe on a crappy 4 cylinder car....over compensating! Lol!

Bit like these Blokes who need a 1300cc bike! ;)

Why do you need different gear for off road?.. I dare you to wear leathers out trail bike riding :eek:.

With dirt bike gear you don't need as much protection from road rash because there's no road.. And it's a lot more hard work in the dirt, so the gear breathes more so that you don't die from your own sweat.
 
So its just a matter of comfort and looks :D
I know where you are coming from, you just need a better tack to get approval.
I wouldn't suggest the open bribery that Kazza suggests, because that just encourages future blackmail!
Just wait till she wants something and then do a tradsies :D

True, come on Disco - does she get permission to buy new shoes? I bet she doesn't!

Just do it, lie about how much it cost. Tell her they were on sale.

Actually, as far as boots go, the road and trail boots are completely different from each other.

For example, if you slam your foot down to keep the bike upright in gravel in a pair of Sidi's you are likely to pierce the sole of the boot as they are extremely thin. Also the dirty boots usually have a band around the outside to keep sole and upper together and stop sticks etc. piercing your foot, whereas a pair or road boots will have a toe slider, that will come off in around 30 seconds of digging into sandy stuff to keep the bike upright.

What I'm saying is, there is a reason these boots are made so differently from each other. :thumbup:

The secret is to make sure that when you do this, that you remember when they did the same, and remind them of how much they like their sneeky little E-bay purchases...

If your partner does not do such things, your in trouble, nothing worse than argueing with someone about being "irresponsible" about money, when they never are irresponsible themselves!!!

Im still reminded a year later about buying my Yamaha jacket a week after getting the biggest fine I ever got :D

She seen straight through my story that 'It was on order for about 4-5 weeks & the dealer just got it in this week'.

Lesson here, pay with cash, EFTPOS/Credit Card leaves a big ****ing footprint :spank:

LMFAO! Cash is always the way to go...and "lose" the receipt! ;)
 
Well, went for a pleasant ride with Mike yesterday morning - just to Bindoon to have a coffee. Twisted the throttle a little for a bit of overtaking, but generally, nothing toooo fast.

After coming home, getting changed and heading off in the car (going to lunch for our wedding anniversary :blowkiss:), Mike spotted a brand new white Rav 4 that had a few too many aerials. We almost overtook them, but something made Mike hold back - very unusual for him. When they slowed up to turn right, we drove past, and, yep, had lights in the front - bloody unmarked cop car :eek:

If we had seen this car whilst on the bikes, we would have taken him for sure :spank:

Be careful out there guys - you never know what they are bloody driving these days :eek:
