Yea I've heard its waiting for the ones that don't need goggles, from people in the know.
Still got a way to come before it really reaches the worthwhile stage unless you have money to burn and friends (or ladies) to impress.

Re the lane splitting thing....i am a lane splitter, always try to get to the front, then clear out, and get away from all the ignorant, selfish, ignorant cagers that are surely out to get me!!! LOL!

But i reckon there are a few unwritten laws regarding lane splitting...

If in peak hour traffic, there is likely to be more than one bike filtering to the front...so if you are at the front, and you see another bike coming behind you, make sure when you get to the front...that you can either leave them a bit of room to get their nose in front of cars too...or be prepared to launch it on green, so they too can get clear!!! What happened to you Cam, was a typical example of someone not doing this, and putting you in danger....dumb f****!!!

Another unwritten rule...If their are 2 of you at the front, when the light turns green....dont deviate from your safe line of take off until both bikes are well clear of traffic....nothing worse than another bike cutting across your nose, to get across 3 lanes of traffic in 30 metres!!!!

Basically....moral of the story....when the light turns green, it's time to do the "Harold Holt", and get the hell away from those cagers!

Yep agree. Once I was on a demo Street Triple (I have a secret love affair with them) and geez it attracts hoons. Everyone wants to race you. I was at the (genuine) front of the lights, and had a guy on a Tenere stop directly next to me. (IMO he should stop a foot or so back as to show he's acknowledging I'll take off first)

Lights go green and he cracks up a mono in my lane. Now I'm not averse to a mono, but not in the same lane and right beside me.

So I just high-tailed it in first gear and he was a tiny blur in about half a second. What a goose.

It worse when some "Minda" (South Australian for retarded!) on a Gixxer, or like, comes roaring past you at a million mile an hour on one wheel!!! Have had this happen a few times....normally scares the $hit out of me for a second, and then i get down to the business of making sure i am well out of their way, in case it all goes pear shaped right in front of me...

Such a thing does exist....normally can be found in the Twisties on the weekend...generally the older Gixxer rider though, rather than the 20 something wanna be stunt superstar!

Have gotta admit, I have been drinking way less beer in the last few months...just can't seem to bounce back the next day, after a few brews!!! So my limit sits at about 8 pints!

This can be blamed on younger Australians I would say. Its much harder (and more expensive) to get drunk on beer than spirits and as such many have made the move.

It's all the cheap ar$e nightclub's selling Cheap Happy Hour Drink's ALL night long to underage kids.... it costs me $6 for a pint of beer, whilst at the same time i can get 2 vodka's for the same price in most places...yes the Vodka tastes like petrol, but the kids dont care about that...they are just looking for a means to an end!

I remember when being designated driver actually got you cheap softdrink, but thats right the government decided to screw young people being responsible and put all the limits on passengers in place, and the whole designated driver concept went out the window faster than someone gets glassed in the face at a fight these days.

Ironically at my work, they want to implement double glasses for wine. Yay for responsible drinking!

The Licensing Commision in South Australia is trying to instill 3am lockouts to all Nightclubs....that will work well, as there will be drunks everywhere on the streets, after 3am...all fighting, walking into the path of cars, etc....

As for the glassing thing....within 12 months all night clubs in SA will be required to use Polycarbonate "glassware", is already in place in a few venues about the place...

Beer out of a plastic cup tastes like $hit!!!

Me though? I love Guinness (Ireland), James Squire Porter (Aus) and Monteiths Black (NZ).

I live 10 minutes from the Swan Valley - we have wonderful wineries and breweries there.
