I just ride with my right leg over on the left peg and squat down and drag my left knee. I really don't understand why it is so difficult or dangerous to do in traffic. It just makes it a little more difficult to make right turns.

No, he just realizes the place for riding hard is at the track, where it is a controlled environment and there isn't traffic and innocent bystanders around to kill when you make a mistake. Because mistakes happen, we're all human...

I know what he is saying. And I have no issue with it. But, there is a better way to say things. We all take chances, correct? Whether it be on a bike, in a cage, at a bar, at work, wherever. My point is, don't be a hypocrite and use slander as a way to get your point across on certain issues that you feel are important.

You're the one calling names... I didn't say anything offensive or directed at anyone. How is there a better way to say that riding hard and pushing the limits belongs at the track? How would you like me to sugar coat it for you? That shouldn't offend you, it's a common fact, so take a deep breath, chill bro.

I'm sorry everyone's giving you a hard time on here for talking about dragging knee on the streets, but the majority of the people on this forum dislike riders who drag knee and race on the streets because it gives all sport bike riders a bad rep to the public.

Read my reply to you again. I did not direct anything towards you my friend, so don't take it personal. Nothing was mean't as an attack towards you or anyone else on this forum. So I think you need to chill out. No one is coming down on me because of the way I ride. I have one speeding ticket on a bike in the 26 years I have been street legal on one. No wrecks and great insurance rates. I'm not self righteous about anything that I do. So I don't need the approval of my peers to feel justified. I ride my own ride.

I voted the Heck no option. It's been winter here since I bought the bike and even on a dry day my tires aren't good enough/get warm enough for that. My hoot through the twistys is more in the nature of a scenic thing. Also having come across from cruisers it's going to be a while before I'm comfy. Too many years of scraping footpegs with minimal lean.;)

I have come very close (1) time only....I don't think it is appropriate to ride like that on the street.

I do shift my weight a lot during my rides. I find that kind of fun and it makes hard cornering feel more confidence inspiring because I can get my weight down lower to the ground.:D

I agree the FZ is capable of that kind of riding (knee dragging) in the hands of the right rider, but that rider is not me even though I have been riding for more than 23 years. Street riding experience and track riding technique are two different things and all street riders would do well to remember that.

yeah, you'll need some race rubber for that

And some skills

Why?!?!
Do you drive your car to the point where the back in is sliding out?
Is it a challenge to do these things.... YES. Is it really Dumb on the street ... Yes.
Been there done that and each time I've crashed it was "the extinuating circumstance i.e. rock/gravel, moisture, that truck which just topped off it's tank, squirrel & hate to admit driving beyond my ability!
There is a place for everything the thing is you are confusing track and street.
I saw a guy putting in the lean at a freeway on ramp.... looked like KR, that's until a slight bobble that changed his line such he touched the outside curb.
The high side put him smack into freeway traffic....and run over at least 3 times that I saw which caused a chain of other accidents.
There are old pilots and bold pilots but no old bold pilots....
