This was her first long ride but she has been doing well so we decided to go for it.

With the bikes washed and loaded up with our new luggage, a clean chaink fresh oil and filters it seemed we were in good shape. Today appeared to be one of the very rare days in wv that it does not rain.

Of course the WV classic weather has to kick in and we get rained on within 5 minutes of our trip. We get behind a couple of slow trucks so we got soaked before we could make it to the station to put on out really puffy rain suits lol

We came across some nice roads on the way up. The curves on the WV side were better but could not be used as well because no one in WV can drive, they run off the road every 10 feet and throw gravel all over the road especially in the curves which ruins your fun. Then when you cross the state line something magical happens, almost no gravel on the roads at all, people actually know how to drive!

Our first stop, to eat, take off our rain suits and to clean up form the muddy rain.

Great stuff! Can't see the vids at work (youtube blocked), but love the pics! Thanks for sharing!

You're very lucky that your girlfriend enjoys riding a bike too. Looks like she's going to be outgrowing that Buell real soon. What's her thought on that? Nice pictures too.

Yeah I am suprised she took to it so well, I was worried sick the first few months she was riding lol. I tried to talk her into a Kawasaki 650r in a few months but she is so short I am not sure if we could get it low enough for her and I can not afford a Ducati like the girl on here bought that is about her height.

She sat on tons of bikes at the Greenville, SC motorcycle show and they were all way too tall for her. I will post up a pic of her on my bike to show just how short lol.
