Well, it is only 2 days to go and I am psyched!

I can't wait. I was born in Wales, lived in New Zealand, married a Sydney-sider and now live in Perth. RUGBY rules for me (I do love league but union runs through my veins).

I thought I'd set up a "sticky" thread so all us rugby lovers can talk away discussing this wonderful event.

Now, I'm a little confused . I would LOVE Wales to win, but I'm a realist. I support the Wallabies but not when they play Wales.

Oh well, Fiji knocked Wales out in the last world cup anyway - oh the shame! But the red dragons have knocked off England and Argentina in the last few weeks. The Wallabies also own the Tri Nations and the Bledisloe.

My money is on the Wallabies BUT South Africa may get there (bloody dirty players :Flip: :scared:)

Anyway, the thread is here.

ENJOY

Well, it's on.

An expected win for the All Blacks against Tonga. I was expecting a similar score to last time though (102 - 0) not the 41 -10 today.

Well, great weekend of rugby.

Even better, Wales pushed South Africa to the limit. If James Hook had kicked all his goals, we would have won.

We still picked up a bonus point

Oh, and Mr Richie McCaw    sorry, got distracted there :D

nicely done by the english on there win against argentine, however was a poor play and passing was awful.

still although i'm british in a realistic world i think the there are around 3 possible winners of this 2011 cup, either South Africa, Australia or New Zealand

You're joking, right?

IF we hadn't conceded any penalties JH would have had one kick.

Plenty ifs but there is no remarks column on the trophy.
LOL, South Africa playing a game without conceeding a penalty? It will never happen. Not with their "renowned" style of play

:scared:

Good old South Wales - not far from the Severn Bridge.

Along with my dad, born and bred in Caldicot. My mam is from Chepstow.

What a difference a week makes! After last week's lacklustre performance against Wales, South Africa turned it on this morning to beat Fiji 49-3.

The Springboks scored 6 tries in all and it could have been an even bigger score. Fiji were man to the task but just couldn't break the Boks' defence. They crossed the tryline twice but both were disallowed.

The Boks played some stunning running rugby with lots of free-flowing backline moves and the atmosphere in the pub was very festive from 8am this morning! Morne Sten's kicking was the only let down, he missed several which is quite out of character for him.

Australia v Ireland is on right now and at half time it is 6-6.
