Thats gas..what?

I have 09 fz6 with 1950 miles on it. And notice i was leaking gas from the over fill hose under the bike. I live in Pittsburgh and its been very hot here. Funny thing is only when the sun is hitting on the bike it leaks... in the shade its ok no leak? Anybody have this problem?

Thats normal/whats its designed to do. I noticed it as well, when I first got my bike.

No worries. That's normal.

Would you be up for riding sometime? I am in Pittsburgh as well (South hills). We usually ride down into WV, but I could come to you if you know some cool routes.

I've seen the fuel vapor condense in the vent tubes and drip small amounts. It happens on warm days. Try not to fill it to the rim on days its going sit in the sun.

A Good lesson to NOT store these bikes in a heated garage near a gas water heater!

I asked this exact question a few years ago about my '06. I walked out to go for a ride one day and this is what I saw:





Like yours, my bike, at the time, sat on the sunny side of my building. The tank was full and the overflow tube was dripping. Not a big deal and exactly what it was designed to do. :thumbup:
