Test drive

A friend of mine just bought the new Triumph Bonneville. He let me test ride it. The motor has a very unique sound and hum. The handle bars are a little on the narrow side. The acceleration from a stop was pretty impressive and the gears were unusually smooth. Handles the corners pretty good, too. Aside from the handle bars, a very enjoyable ride!

This peaked my curiosity, since I never rode a triumph before. Went to the local dealer and saw a demo of the street triple model "R" I think. Looked very similar to my FZ6 with the exception of the arrow racing exhaust it had on the side. It appeared to come with mostly all stainless steel hardware and brake lines. The seating position felt exactly the same as the FZ6. It even sounded similar to my Leo's! Seems like pretty good quality. I did not test drive on yet, but look forward to it. Anyone else ride on of these?

I'm sure somebody on this forum has had some sort of experience with the street triple! Any feedback??

Thanks for the link......just got back from test riding the Street Triple. I have to agree with "Hebrew Hammer" in his write up of it. The bike is awesome!:rockon:

My nearest Triumph dealer is nearly 100 miles from my house. I plan on checking out the Street Triple R at some point. I could see that bike sitting in my garage at some point:thumbup:

Yeah, my dealer is pretty far as well, but it was worth the drive to test ride one. Wish all of the dealers allowed test rides.
