I was riding today and when I looked at my temp gauge it was stuck at 100 F. I pulled over and shut the engine off and restarted my bike and the temp retuned to normal (178-185 is normal cruising temp for mine). Has any one else ever had this happen to them ? Is there a sensor wire that might get loose and cause this or is this something not to worry about ?

Thanks,
RandyC

Your bikes got the 'Brain Rust' and only has a few miles to live.......... :BLAA: naw seriously though it sounds like a little internal logic lock, and you performed a global reset by cycling the key....... I would put dielectric grease in every electrical conection you can find to prevent any further problems...

Mine did that (reverted to intake temp) about ten times in the first 3000 miles without touching the reset or select buttons, it did it on a hot restart. Was considering reporting it to the dealer as it's on warranty but lately it's been fine.
