Tank bags and higher wind shield.

I need some storage on my 2008 FZ6 for extra clothing, etc. and would like to start with a tank bag.
Some of the bags just use magnets to keep in place. I've also seen bags with a connecting disc of some kind mounted on the gas cap. Any thoughts and recommendations?
A higher wind screen would be nice also. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations on the various after market screens available?

Ive got a joe rocket manta tank bag. Its magnetic. Ive never had a problem, although the storage for extra clothes isnt enough. Room for some basketball shorts or a shirt, but thats it. Some use straps to stay in place, too.

On the screen question I have a madstad screen on my bike and it's great. It's adjustable, although adjusting it is a pain.

On the tank bag question I have used magnetic, but recently bought a magnetic bag with a solar panel and converted it to quick lock (See this thread). It took about 20 mins and cost about $20.

I had used a magnetic bag, had no problems with it. Tried out the SW-Motech system (the tank ring you mentioned) and I prefer it. Either bag can be removed by a thief, although with the SW they'd have to know what they were doing. I went with the tank ring system first to get their outstanding camera mount.
One thing to be aware of, if you're an aggressive rider and slide your chest across the tank, you won't want the SW-Motech system, as the ring protrudes and is always there.
I got the taller Yamaha windshield, and didn't notice too much difference, wouldn't buy it again; haven't tried anything else.

I have a Yamaha touring wind screen and really like it. Much better than the original one. My husband uses the Givi system which has the ring around the gas lid. He loves them. He has a couple of different sizes too. (he rides a Vfr)

I added the map holder and gadget holder for my radar system. I did not add the electric tank ring because it was recommended to me that it was much cheaper to run a power wire to it, and it was much cheaper. So, within my map holder is a 12 volt and 120 volt power system. Yes, I have 120 volt plug to run a small appliance, like no bigger than a laptop. That being said, I find it heavy to carry if there is too much stuff in it for any length of time. It has only one shoulder strap, and one hand grip for carrying by hand.

I have the Cee Bailey Screen and the MRA X-creen. This was an expensive setup, but I like it because I can adjust it for my riding condition. For example, within town/city I have the MRA screen lowered to its lowest position so it doesn't interfere with the air that flows over the Cee Bailey. If you have absolutely no air flow around you, wind noise is down, but you do not have any air flow through your helmet either, which can be hot and/or cause fogging. When I'm on the freeway for long rides, I will raise the MRA screen to reduce the air flow; this reduces the wind noise while still allowing adequate air flow through my helmet.

I have this same tank bag and I also have a laguna expandable tail bag. With those two and my backpack my 2 day runs have been no problem. Not sure about a long run though.
