Hello everyone I just wanted to start this thread as basically suggestion or idea box. So for all the people who have done the streetfighter/naked conversion please post as much information or knowledge on the subject as you know. I thought this would be very helpful to people like me who have not done the streetfighter conversion yet. This would give us/me an easy way to run through some different options.

I have a 2005 FZ6-ST the round speedo model.

Also PM me if you have any suggestions for this thread or about conversion specifically for my year.

Thank You Everyone.

I was considering using the Acerbis Cyclops Headlight because it is DOT approved as well as i like the way it looks. Does anyone know if this would be difficult mount and wire up.

Here is a link of it- Acerbis Cyclops Headlight - Dirt Bike Motocross - Motorcycle Superstore

I have read through that thread and found some useful information; however I was hoping some people would post their conversion more in... I guess like a parts list format with maybe some pointers or detailed descriptions far as the mounting of certain components etc.

Thanks for your reply :-) any more suggestions would be appreciated.

Best thing you could do aside from using search would be to post individual questions. This is a pretty broad topic and most everything has been discussed in previous posts.

I'm glad to answer any questions you have regarding my conversion, and I'm sure others will be as well.

Thank You for your response. I see your avatar pic shows to what I believe is the buell headlight set up correct? If you could PM me any pics of your conversion process that would be great as well some cool pics of your streetfighter :-P. Specifically the headlight mounting.

Also I was interested using some 43mm clip on handlerbars below the triple would that be possible or would it interfere with anything to your knowledge? And do you have any comments on the headlight unit I pictured above?

ahhhh, ok. just wasn't sure if you had seen it. a lot of me people (me especially - :innocent: ) will ask a question only to find someone else has already answered it in a slightly different way.

good luck and congrats on the new bike.

I seem to recall some negative opinions on the Acerbis unit but I don't have any personal knowledge. It's in some post somewhere.

Mine isn't actually a Buell setup. It's similar, a Dominator headlight that I picked up from Flyncycle. I preferred the shape as it was slightly different than the Buell.

I don't have any pics of the conversion itself but I will be glad to take and PM some close-ups of my setup sometime this week, work and school schedule permitting.

As far as the clip-ons, I know several folks have tried and used them below the top triple. I guess since you won't have a fairing to interfere with you would just need to make sure they are set wide enough to not hit your tank on full lock. Can't wait to follow your process.

Thanks for the heads up on the Acerbis unit. Some close up pics would be great no rush. How much did the dominator set up run you far as cost. Also if you have any suggestions on a way to mount the speedo. I have a 2005 round speedo. I would like for it to sit low around the same height as the triple.
