has any one installed some Suburban Machinery bars? if so can you tell me if there was and issues with them hiting the tank or front fairing when fully turned? and give feedback on how you like them?

I had them on my last FZ. They wouldn't hit the bars, but left only a few millimeters of clearance between the levers and the fairing/mirror stalks. if you cover your front brake, it will make for an embarrassing low speed disaster in a parking lot (ask me how I know). IMHO they: look great, kill your wrists, and are about $80 over priced. There's other bars out there that will work better and won't rape your wallet. Do yourself a favor and pass.
Don't know anything about these bars, but this post would make look for something else.
Also, the fairings have changed, so what worked on one may not on another.
PS. Just looked at referenced pic's. Nice looking bars but looks like their design is to be horizontal with no rise, and that causes them to move, it appears, a couple of inches closer to the fairing and make you lean forward.
I have been looking for some Cafe/Clubman bars, similar look but about the same rise as stock and no forward positioning, but have not bit the bullet yet!

I'm not sure about $80 over priced, they seem about right to me. There are four welds for the bar itself and two welds to install the threads inside the ends for the stock counter weights. To me the LSLs I bought were way over priced. Its just a stamped tube for $70. At least for the 'Burbs there is a fair amount of machining and work that goes into them.
As far as the fit I can't comment on that.

what do you gain by going with these bars?
I have a set of hyper x or hyper moto (I'll double check)
but they are lower and I would gladly trade for a stock set.

:welcome:Thought I would just add my comments to questions raised here, as I own the bars in the pictures, yes they are expensive but extremely good quality, the welds are beautifully done and as for the fit really good with zero installation problems making them ideal for a novice to fit for the "racing" feel.
The slow speed turning can be awkward as said but if you are turning tight I find they are fine if I don't have my fingers wrapped over the brake or clutch levers. Depending on the turn speed it is still possible to feather the clutch and use the front brake to control speed although not advised on gravel or slippery surfaces as we all know!!, slightly more awkward than the standard bars but no comparison in looks and feel on the open road.
Yes they do make you lean forward up to approximately 2 inches but this is adjustable and just what I required, as I am very tall in the body and wanted a more aggresive riding stance without going to clip on's which seem to have a lot of problems fitting especially if you want to retain the fairing amongst other things, can be done but not really my cup of tea, for this I would have bought the R6, problem solved, but I love my FZ6 so was not an option in my book.
As for hurting my wrists I can tell you from riding with them they do not, again it is all down to personal adjustment, you can sit high or more aggresive the choice is huge, they remind me of a set of English bars know as Drops which I had on a lot of my bikes back in the UK, like any type of bars the wind pressure actually forces you back making you hang on harder taking virtually all the weight of your wrists.
I realise everyone has different opinions on bars, I read a lot of threads on this site before making my own final choice, the information available here is what makes this forum so good.
Hope this helps answer some very valid points, bars are a personal choice, just remember that when reading the threads use your own judgement to make up your own mind.
