Morning all,

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the steering head stem on my 2004 FZ6 Fazer. I'm going to renew my steering head bearings and I need to know the stem dia. so I can obtain a piece of pipe to install the lower bearing.

It's not listed in the Haynes manual, PM me you e-mail and I can point you in the direction of a service manual.

BTW the Google search function at the top right of the page is great.

Use the search before posting a question as it as likely been covered and more.

Lower bearing inner diameter should be 30 mm.
I've used SKF tapered bearings you can check dimensions from part numbers:

32006X/Q (Lower)
32005X/Q (Upper)

You can also use the fork conversion finder on All Balls' website. Looks like 30mm is correct. Hope you're planning on using a press, because as I recall I had a hell of time getting it on, even with a press. I wouldn't want to try hammering it on with a piece of pipe.
