spring trip

Hwy guys,

I'm planning a spring vacation to the Black Mountains in SD. MT Rushmore is the main attraction, but does anyone else have any ideas for must see sights around there? It's going to be a riding tour, and at this point I'm going to be two up. It's a little over 1700 miles there, and we're planning on doing the round trip in 11 days.

1700 miles in 11 days, 2 up is comfortable. I have just done 2200miles in 9 days and that was not riding every day. I think it is important for yourself and your passenger to take days off from riding and just enjoy "The holiday" otherwise you will miss a lot of things.

I don't know abotu sight seeing, but look up threads on touring and things to take for comfort...great resources are on these boards! They made my tours WAY better!

Thanks for the info Steve. It's a little over 1700 miles one way, so total trip will probably be around 3,500 miles.
