I heard an inverview with Stoner in parc ferme and he repeated this during the post qualifying interview, he seems to be getting fed up with lesser riders waiting for him to give them a tow round the track.

He said that it was like being back in 125s and the the other riders should "grow up and be big boys" and do their own thing. Stoner said that not only are they waiting for him to come round to be able to pick up a tow but that they get in the way and ruin his fast laps.

I saw this too...and not the first time I have heard of this...have heard various riders complain of this "tactic" over the years...

I think it's one of the reasons they started doing superpole in WSB!

Doohan used to whinge a lot about this back in his day! It's a crap tactic used by riders who need a "rabbit" to chase, in order to post a fast lap.
