Holy crap @ 2nd video!! That looks like SO much fun! Wish there was legal offroading near me.

lol my gf is on the bike for all the trail riding so i try to keep it mild. on that second video we decided to run around a hour on the bike after work. well we hit up a trail about 3 miles in the woods and when the bike fell over in the water it hydrolocked the engine and we had no cell service. It was dark and i took out the spark plug and pumped on the bike some and water sprayed out of the plug hole and was pouring out the exhaust. I knew were stranded. A few minutes later these 2 scary guys show up in a old truck and start being super nice (nice like i am going to kill you nice). They insisted in loading the bike in their truck and taking us home. The funny thing was they were driving in the opposite direction, saying they were trying to get the price for camping spots so they can bring their camper down (there is no way a camper could make it down that road and there was no way there was camping spots up this road). They took us about 3 hours back in the woods, opened up the sliding back window and said "dont worry we are not going to kill you" then closed the window lol. a few minutes later we made it to the highway an they insisted we sit inside the truck. as we ride up front the guy proceeds to tell me he just got out of prison, he is a drug addict and so is his friend that is driving. he said dont worry we are safe though. about 10 minutes go by, full of stories of prison fights, gang fights in DC and family stealing from his mom. We suddenly have a blowout and we have to wait for his cousin to show up (the one that robbed his mom). well a few minutes later he arrives, we change his tire and they all decide to follow up to my house. i thought great i am going to get robbed and killed! but when we made it up there they were all very nice unloaded our bike and everything went just fine.

it made for a very exciting night lol.

So how was the top case as far as watertightness? lol

Good stuff, i love my YZF 426... i own about 100 acres of land so i'm lucky enough to have space to ride it, would love to do some trail riding though. Around here all we have is RR tracks and an old RR track that got torn up and a "nature trail" was put in it's place.... problem is your bike/skill has to be able to outrun the LEO's if you do either one lol... i have confidence in the bikes ability, but i fear i wouldnt know the area well enough or end up crashing, breaking a leg then being rushed by cops beating me with batons... :rof:

Did you live? I mean when you got home and your GF came at you with a knife for taking the ride? lol

Nothing like being at the mercy of a drug addicted ex-con to get your heart pounding. Glad they turned out to be decent folks though :thumbup:

Lol yeah the top case was waterproof, no water got in!

Yes I lived lol and the bike is fine. I just had to keep kicking it with the plug out to get the moisture out, changed the oil 4 TIMES! to get the water out, washed, cleaned the air filter (I bet I got half a cup of mud out of the air filter box!), took off the carb and cleaned out the gunk and the jets and put in a new plug and it fired right up. I took it out last weekend back into the woods and everything is fine. Those old bikes are really simple to work on and are hard to kill. I wish it was not dark when I first started getting the water out, it was shooting out the exhaust and the engine at the same time lol.

My buddy took his Jeep down the Greenway off of rt 20 just over the bridge toward Caledonia a couple times. Turns out, we heard through the grape vine that the people that live in the house near one of the accesses called the cops, and the cops had been looking for him but never found him. It's a shame that they can rip up and down the trail on sleds, but anything motorized with wheels is illegal. That's why I stopped paying the registration on my ATV. Why pay when I can't even use it on public land?

Turns out, we heard through the grape vine that the people that live in the house near one of the accesses called the cops, and the cops had been looking for him but never found him. It's a shame that they can rip up and down the trail on sleds, but anything motorized with wheels is illegal. That's why I stopped paying the registration on my ATV. Why pay when I can't even use it on public land?

That irritates me as well, all winter long you have sleds tearing up all over, where theres marked trails (and where there isn't) and they get a pass, whereas anyone with a dirtbike or quad can't even use the dam greenway that nobody walks on anyways... Although out by my house (in caledonia...york/leroy/caledonia border as best described) the greenway is a bit less populated so maybe someday when i'm feeling rebellious... lol...

Maybe i'll just move to WV, i actually believe i've been to Lexington... Some beautiful hilly country out there. plenty of wilderness to explore :thumbup:
