Hi there, new to this forum hoping someone can help?
I got hold of a 06 FZ6 that had done 1800miles and left standing since then????????Criminal!!!!
Pulled the tank off and looked inside and was thick in stale fuel/varnish so was the fuel pump. I cleaned tank and pump assy, removed injectors and cleared all pipes and so on.
Re-fitted the tank, now the pump runs when the ignition is on and if i wind the throttle back to its stop (flat out) and back to idle she fires up but shuts down within 10 seconds as if it is running out of fuel???
I am guessing new tank, fuel pump assy and maybe new injectors should sort it but just checking to see if it could be shutting down due to a fault code or ECU fault.
I have spend some time cleaning the fuel system, but may be is just needs new as the pump was so blocked up it was siezed and blew a fuse when i first tried to start it????
Anyway seems a shame to let her rot any more and really want her back on the road as the bike is like new with low low milage, any help would be great.
Thanks for your time in advance
Matt
