Sad day

FZ1 is all set up now, which means it's time to start prepping my beloved FZ6 for sale

I truly am going to miss her. She was a great machine.. I kept her motor clean.. .. she brought me lots of smiles and never game me any trouble.

If one day I'll end up with a bigger garage I can definitely see another FZ6 in my stable .. time will tell.

Anyway.. pulled most of the mods off this evening.. tank bra, exhaust and Givi top rack. Reassembly is tomorrow.. then I'll snap some pics and up for sale she'll go. I don't remember ever being so sad when I had to sell one of my *toys*

I think once you get on the fz1 for a while you wouldn't want the fz6 as a stablemate.

Of all the bikes I've had, the FZ6 was one of the few that gave me a bit of sadness when I saw it ridden off by a different owner.

Of course, you can help to cover up the feeling of loss when you sell it by riding the living heck out of the FZ1.

Im going through the missing my FZ6 stage at the moment , you'll never forget her but you will love the FZ1 :thumbup: Makes it real hard for me because I still see my old FZ around & she is being treated poorly

You could just build a bigger garage or a shed...

You'll have no trouble with selling her, and I have no doubt that the FZ1 will adequately fill the 'hole' the Fizzer will leave in your stable. Plus, you get to start the mod game all over again!

I felt the same way when i got my bike, i traded my old baby for a new baby. I traded a 86 monte carlo wich my great grandmother bought brand new. when i got it in 2007 it only had 46,000 miles on a 86 model. Super clean car and i still love monte carlos but in atl thats not exactly a car you want to flaunt around, draws way too much attention from the wrong people; bangers, cops, mainly. So i sawan oppurtunity to trade it for a bike and jump on it and havent looked back since. One day i will have another monte carlo but for now i like the 6 better.

No shed. I live in a townhouse and don't own any land .. she has to go.

FZ1 has been awesome so far and it's definitely doing everything very well. I'm really just about done with mods already.. did SO much in the 2 short week I've had it.

It's not about FZ1 doing things as well or better than my 6.. it's the memories of 3+ seasons I've spent on it, the places I've visited, the friends I've made.. when I look at her all those memories come flooding back.. THAT's what I'm gonna miss the most. OK.. that was pretty sappy.. I'll get over it
