Just installed my Xmas Rizoma grips and PIAA horn.. horn sounds great, had to do a little tweaking to get it to work just right, but its all good. The Rizomas on the other hand were smoooth install... Took about 10 min, with three trips to the basement for tools i kept forgetting.

Yes, Rizoma bar ends are on their way, i know the stockies look like SH!T! oh well, they will have to look like sh!t under the cover until PJ comes through for me. (pjsparts.com)

on a side note, to those who have the rizoma grips,
1. does the throttle have a gap between grip and throttle box?
2. i assume the plastic washer goes on the inside of the box on the far most left of the grip, there is no where else it can go but on the end.
3. on the clutch side, did yours have 1 locking screw or 2? i could have sworn mine had two, but when i went to get a smaller hex for the one, i came back and it was no where to be found, didnt know if it fell out or if my mind was playing tricks on me, maybe it was never there at all.

I was going to say that then I scrolled back up to read your post. Nice Grips! How do they feel?

Looks great. That horn is killer! The grips look great too. Please post a follow up on the grips once you are able to take a longer ride.

Grips feel good sitting still, but like you said, i need to ride to get a good feeling. the horn is 110 db, not bad, almost sounds like a car horn... tested it sitting in front of the house and it was loud as hell, but i rode it around the block and hit it to wave to someone i know and it didnt seem as loud as i thought it would be.. moving at least

not sure yet, its in the mid 30's but there is ice everywhere for some reason. almost lost it in truck last night. i think ill wait a week or two to ride the bike with them.... the thing that sucks is doing all these mods and not being able to ride for months, takes the fun out of it...

I have the PIAA horns and haven't quite figured where to mount them. Does your setup have both horns? There is not much room to mount them with the forks and ferring turn. I would appreciate your advise on this.
Thanks

I hope those grips are good, because I just ordered the silver ones from PJ's on friday. :D

How does the clutch side grip attach, BTW?

Horn(s)? mine is jsut one, i just mounted it to where the old one came off of, had to bend her up a little bit to get it to move with the handle bars without hitting anything....

it has a little hex that tightens on to the bar on the bottom side, when you get yours, let me know if you had TWO. Mine has a threaded hole for two, but only one screw was threaded in, i didnt know if one was lost...

My PIAA horn is two the same as your one. One is 500HZ and the other is 400HZ. I suppose I could just mount one but it's great with the two together. Nice and loud. It does sound like a car horn. I was thinking of mounting them somewhere under the ferring?

I put my Rizomas on about 2 months ago and have riden about 1500mi on them. Love them!! took a little getting used to as they are different but they are very comfortable and look great. I also have the same gap on the throttle side that is a little larger than I would like but the function is still great. These with my Pazzo's have been very nice mods!!
