River Road Scout Tex Pants - thoughts?

Have researched protective riding pants for awhile. Here are some of my criteria:

Good, Reliable, entire lower-torso Protection
Overpants to go over regular jeans/pants
Easy on/easy off, even with boots on
Waterproof
Cool/breathable in summer
Decent warmth/liner in winter (nothing super, just to help keep some nip off)
Long pant legs/cuffs to go over boots
Adjustable waist

These new River Road Scout Textile Pants look pretty good (River Road Scout Tex Pants | KneeDraggers). Coming out in the next few weeks or so.

My biggest concerns are A. Will the "heavy-duty textile" areas without armor be heavy-duty enough to be protective, the rear for example. and B. Will it fit over a pair of jeans, as it's not listed as an overpant. Any thoughts from the crowd?

Alternate suggestions are welcome if something is a better fit for my listed criteria.

Fyi, here is a response with some info from River Road:

Thank you for contacting River Road. The textile is made of 600 denier polyester. They are overpants that are sized to be worn over jeans or slacks. We should be receiving them from our manufacturer within the next 2-3 weeks.
