That's a good one, fazer.rider:thumbup:

You know... My bike has been stored away for 1,5 months allready. That's a real bummer considering that winter hasn't arrived for real until now. And even worse, since mid October up until last week, I've been hanging around in tropical climates WITHOUT a bike.

So, if anyone in the vicinity of beaches, dry tarmac and any other good riding conditions (and FAR away from snowy and icy conditions) have any vacancies in the field of IS auditing, let me know. I'd move there instantly, bringing my bike, leaving this friggin' climate, my wife and mortgage behind:BLAA: (Norwegians are known for their good work morale!)

haha Capo, you know, i'm still young but i want to move to Norge in the future. Want to trade places hehe? :BLAA: But the only way for me to do that is a work permit i think, so I need to study hard and learn more Norsk. What kind of jobs are in shortage in Norge? I read engineering and finance, not sure if that article i read is up to date.

Jeg elsker Norge hehe

Hehe:thumbup:

Except for the fact that Norway has been rated the best country in the world by the UN to live in, I can't find one conceivable reason for anyone to actually move and live here permanently. Think of Minnesota during winter, just add a few mountains and "fjords" to get the right scenery, and voila, you have it. Sounds tempting, doesn't it?

Seriously, it's okay here in the summer, but that's about it. We're an introvert people that rarely talk to our next-door neighbours, we like to portrait our country to be one of the greatest (it often comes down to the previous mentioned scenery that we're all so proud of...), allthough we seldom have any idea of what we're talking about, because most of us haven't been that much around to really do comparisons. Funny thing is, that a lot of us look at e.g Americans as narrow minded. That's irony for you! I can find a thousand reasons for why you shouldn't live here.

Despite that though, if you still insist on coming here, you should aim for an engineering position. That often requires a minimum of five years or more of education, though. Quite soon, you won't be able to get a job if you don't hold at least two ph.d's. I kid you not, where I work (government) the cleaners need to be certified cleaners! Reagarding finance; maybe. But I guess (as an economist) that a few more of our banks will tumble in the next couple of years.

Other than that, it's great here! We're now handing out Nobel peace prizes practically towards anyone that take the word "change" in their mouths, so why not? ;) I guess that a Canadian can bring with him a bit of change, right?:welcome:

Yeah, and one more thing that we like to believe: Our unemployment rate is redicilously low (3,5-4%), allthough the reality is that this figure is hazed by the fact that a lot more of us are on social welfare. Even OECD have pointed out that we have too many out of work, that normally should have been working. The correct unemployment rate is more like 11%, which is higher than in the US if I'm not mistaken.

Yupp, you should study more Norwegian if you still want to live here:thumbup: But don't forget: A motorcycle like the FZ6 will set you back roughly three or four times more than you're used to (which is a result of taxation that is a major contributor to our welfare-system which in turn have given a set of totally wrong incentives towards our working force).

On the other hand: We have a pension fund (formerly known as the "oil fund") that have been invested in foreign stocks and bonds for the most part. We actually own more than 1% of all the world's shares, despite that Norwegians amounts to merely 1/1000 of the world's population;)

Velkommen skal du være:welcome:
