This weekend, I am probably riding a 2006 Daytona 675 home for a buddy that only has a permit... should I be scared or excited? Decent amount of highway travel included...

I bought the Street Triple R because of the amazing chassis and motor that is shared between the two.
Do you happen to know if the motor is identical or of it's tuned differently on Triple for more low end.. sorta like FZ6 vs R6? I'm just curious. Daytona certainly felt like it had more low end than FZ6.
The riding position won't be as big of an issue at speed. I find clip ons the biggest pain at low speeds during parking, etc. Damn hands and wrists hitting the tank at full lock, etc.Other than that, its mostly highway + riding position... I have never gone more than a block or so on a true crotch rocket in which I will be 'lying' down (esp for a few dozen HW miles ...).
