Rear sub frame torque?

I can't find it in the Yamaha manual. The two bolts (one on each side-torx head) that secures the lower rear sub frame to the main frame, anyone know the torque, page # from the 07 manual maybe?

The 06 and prior manual shows 30 ft lbs...

Just had a look through the '07-onward PDF manual, and I also can't find it... The subframe mounting to the main frame on both the older and newer models is likelyto be the same. If you can confirm this, I can't see any problems going with the '04-'06 specification.

Thanks, I did go with the 30 ft lbs.

Just getting a little extra buzz. Was hoping it was just some loose engine mounts, sub-frame bolts, nope, everything was tight... Time for a TB sync once I get the tank level down some......

Randy had that loose spark plug cap wire issue that caused some vibes, its worth a look:thumbup:

Just an FYI, the slight vibe that developed, was when the bike was not fully warmed up (oil too).

Did a re-sync (been about 4,000 miles since the last one), (well within tolerances already) and fine tuned at idle and 4,000 RPM's.

Got them within 2mm at idle, 3mm's at 4,000 RPM's.

Engine is nice and smooth again, even at 125 degrees (cold) at 4,500 RPM...

IMHO, spend the extra couple of minutes fine tuning, its worth it.. :thumbup:
