I'll concede the cooling applications.... here's a Garret turbo install guideline that clearly states the connections to engine cooling systems. Thanks. I learned something today.

I had been thinking that the kits designed by Mr. Turbo and such for motorcycle applications were sealed systems. Seems I am wrong there, too......

As far as creating bubbles in the cooling jacket due to localized point source boiling..... again, that's bad design; even if it's an unavoidable byproduct of jacket design, etc.... allowing a pressure bubble to form isn't the best solution. Why does reverse flow alleviate it? If the bubble it trapped in a high spot that seems to be independent of flow direction.... And how long after start up does it take to 'clear' that bubble? Seconds?

Hey yamahaha,i could use your opinion..

As far as the safest shut-off procedure.I'm gathering you suggest hitting the Right H-bar kill switch to shut down,but leave key in "on " position.But for how long ? Obviously,we wouldn't leave the key in the switch indefinately [ for a plethora of reasons ].But,, again, for how long [ in the on position ] & also, is there any risk to other elecrictal components ? It's called Ockhams Razor friends...

Heat dissipation is a moot point here folks... The engine will not blow up, seize or anything else when the fan doesn't run after the engine is killed... HOWEVER, more importantly for those in cities (particularly NY) My battery dies once a month in the summer from sitting in excessive traffic with the fan clicking on. The battery would croak in no time and us city folk would bump start our bikes on a regular basis...
