You're right, one second they are zipping along, the next they are airborne.

I really felt for the guys who tee boned a crashed bike and were then flipped in the air. That must of hurt so bad!

I winced the most at the guys running into crashed bikes as well. Those and the one rider on the red bike who slides into the soft barrier, his head falls forward, and the bike rockets airborne right above his head; I hate that one.

That's a famous crash. No racing crash compilation is complete without it. The bike actually hits his helmet as it passes over. Anyone know who he is and how he did afterward?

i think the craziest thing is seeing one bike flipping through the air and coming down without a scratch, but the exact same crash will happen again and the bike will be ripped to shreds..
