when I take my new tires into have them mounted and balanced does the collars that just push into the rims have to be in the rim to, to get and accurate balance. They fall out pretty easy and i dant want to loose them.

I put mine in a sandwich bag and bring them along incase, the tire balancer at my local shop dosen't need them but you never know.

i don;t think they are necessary, but it couldn't hurt to bring them along just in case.

i always take a piece of tape and tape them in the wheel in case the shop needs them.
