The Ursus family has 9 genera. Of these, there are two that are white although one is not white when born. Who are the white bears of the genera and which is not white when born?

Judging by the number of PM's I have received over this I can honestly say it would appear Google has been doing overtime.
The correct answer was given by Mikebern:
Polar bear
Spirit Bear --- had to google that one ---and that was not even easy. Only one in ten are born white.
Ursus Maritimus= Polar bear
Ursus americanus kermodei= Spirit bear (this is a black bear)

well... i was half right with the polar bear but to be honest that was the easy half.

No polar bears in NH :Flip: I love NH though and don;t know if i could live anywhere else. I would like a way to migrate for a month in the middle of the winter to just get to ride for a while but i love seasons and Mountains!
