When manufacturing tyres, the cutting machine produces scraps. The scraps from 11 tyres can be made into one extra tyre. What is the total number of tyres that can be made after cutting 250 tyres?

Oh, and how do Aussies spell out they are physically tired (or sick and tired if that's not an American only thing)? Do you go to sleep when you're tired or tyred? When you're in your 60s, do you retyre? Or would that be more like a retread? heh :)

It is

TYRE not TIRE
COLOUR not COLOR
CENTRE not CENTER
MUM not MOM

Divide 250 by 11 which equals 22.8. Now when you combine the extra 8 scraps with the scraps you'll have from the 22 tyres, you'll have 30 more scraps. They will produce 2 more tyres; so the total additional tyres will be 24.
