Puig Dark smoke or smoke?

does anybody have a dark smoke on their '07 red FZ6?

I think the dark smoke looks incredible on the blue and black '08 models, but I'm not sure about my '07 red FZ6...

I guess it's why we have horse races.... :D
Here's my personal opinion: The red FZ6's seem to suit carbon fiber and/or black add-ons better than the blue ones....the blue ones seem to suit "bling" better than the red ones. For example, the red ones look great with carbon fiber exhausts, while the blue ones look great with bright Stainless or Aluminum exhausts. More red on the red ones doesn't seem to work...i.e., a red seat cowl and under fairing just look "too much" to me on the reds....more blue on the blue bikes looks terrific.
Lots to be said for a black one. ;)

I think you are absolutely right... Kinda strange that it's such a big difference... but it's true.

Lol, looks like we have exactly opposite tastes. I have a Red 06 with Dark Smoke, Stainless Two Bros, Red seat cowl, AND Red Wheel Stripes!!

Puig Dark Smoke Racing Double Bubble-
I thought I'd add a picture of a dark smoke on a 2006. It arrived yesterday and I installed it in about 15 minutes and took it out on the road. It definitely is better than the stock. I'm 5' 8" and the wind is up around the top of my helmet. It works great at higher speeds. No vision problem day or night. The overall look is great with the black body and fenders. Here's a picture (disregard the previous owner's customization of the faring - take care of that later).

Don't want to thread jack too much, but does anyone know the difference between the Puig racing and Puig touring wind screen models?

I have the black puig racing windscreen for my 08. im 5'11" so i dont use it much anyway and i figured if i ever want a more visible one, i can just put back the oem one. i think its more worth it in the end to have the two extremes rather than the in between (smoke). but anyway, it looks good and i can take/post some pics if you want.

I see you have excellent taste in both bikes AND cars...the STi is a great car.
Here's my 06 with the Puig light smoke screen. It's all up to one's personal taste, of course, but I think the dark smoke is just a bit too much on the pre-07 FZ6. The light smoke screen is dark at the bottom, which hides that awful area that you see with the clear screen, and light smoke at the top. I didn't particularly care for the stylized "FZ6" logo on the front, but I've got used to it. :)

OneTrack I love that screen! It looks like it covers the whole front fairing, I'll have to look into this one.
