Puig Bellypan...First in Oz?

how long did it take you to mount your puig?
As I wrote before I got mine yesterday, took me about half an hour to figure out how and where exactly to mount it, then I got it. :D
Haven't mount it yet, I want to polish the exhaust manifolds (is that the right word???) first.
But I was happy as hell when I saw it mounted on my bike, even if it was only 2 minutes... :Flash:;)

Another thing it is good for is the collection of small pebbles. In the spring I had a scare as I kept hearing this crunching coming from the front of the bike. Thought for sure a bearing issue, or loose parts but I couldn't find anything wrong. Drove me nuts. Finally I discovered that there were about a dozen pebbles rattling around in the Puig. Took them out and the sound was gone!

Took me about 5 minutes, once i worked out exactly which engine boltes, etc, matched up with the diagrams in the box, that were conveniently layed out in French!!!!!

Thanks for the tip......am guessing now i wont have to worry about that rattle when i am riding the FZ now....just my Ducati, which rattles like crazy, no matter......you either learn to deal with that dry clutch noise with a Duc, or you buy something else!!!!!

Carbon or black finish, it really doesn't matter - it's just what one prefers - but:
IT LOOKS BAD-ASS on the bike, that's for sure. :thumbup:

Jesus, I hope winter doesn't take too long, I'm hell-bent for driving my bike... :(:eek::Flash:

nope, not yet, just tried if everything fits etc.
I have to polish the exhaust-manifolds first - haven't had the time yet.
And I wanna do it really G-O-O-D and not just hurry up and have it done no matter how it looks... :rolleyes:
a bit of a perfectionist, I am. :D;)

Lol, i know how that feels....just finished polishing my bike.....was clean to start with, just wanted it shinier still.......the polished rims keep you busy....:eek:

Going to drill the drain hole tomorrow....can anyone suggest what type of drill bit i should use.....aint much of a handyman!!!!!:spank:

No it's plastic with a very convincing Carbon Fibre look finish.

Low Speed, generic drill bit? I reckon Mick might be able to help here....:confused:

If it was me I would mark a cross with tape where you want the hole and start small and slow .

Well i was sorta hoping someone could help!

Will try the small & slow approach.

Just make sure you mark the hole with tape or an indent of some kind so that the drill don't wander and you should be good to go mate :thumbup:

How did you go with the drain hole Wolf ?

You would have needed it today if like me you were riding around in 20mm of rain !.Hanson road was under water , no left lane at all !
