Ok i have a problem. I ordered a set of Proton flush-mount turn signals from Cycle Gear - Motorcycle Apparel, Parts and Accessories. They came in and the package says they are for an Fz1. I called them and they said that they should fit an 09 fz6. but the damn light wont fit in the hole. My lights actually don't go in the front fairing. there are two arms that hang slightly below the fairing and that is where they mount. So has anyone installed these before? i searched and came up with one thread and in the picture the lights sit inside the whole like they are supposed too. so tell me i am not crazy. i dont know if i want to return em and try something else or what. help me decide!

To my knowledge Yam used the same style/size/shape lights on almost all their sport bikes for several years. FZ1/FZ6/R1/R6 turn signals are all interchangable AFAIK since they all use the same teardrop shaped mount, regardless of where the mount is located.
Can you explain better how it isn't fitting?
