Hey just remember to keep looking up. A lot of times when people go slow they tend to look at the ground right in front of them, and that will really through off your balance... .Im not experienced either, only about 4 months of riding an 06 FZ6 myself, But im just trying to help ya out.

Hi did you lock your front brake when you started to brake?
If you were leaning over a bit for the corner well thats why you went down.
Try practicing in a empty parking lot driving slowly and in control of the bike using only the back brake a bit of throttle and use the clutch to control your speed. Keep it down to walking pace, this will help you learn better control and then you might not take the corner too wide.
