post two bros. install question - opinions wanted

i just installed the two bros pipes and i have a post-installation question for you guys.

i bought my bike used, so it did not have the rear fender/splash guard/chain guard (part #11 in the picture below). the underside of my stock exhaust was covered with road grime when i removed it. with the new two bros on & no rear fender on the bike, i am afraid that the underside of the two bros will not only get mucked up with road gunk but also thrashed by rocks kicked up by the rear tire.

do you think it's worth it to purchase this piece and add it back on to protect the underside of my two bros? will this rear fender even protect the underside of my two bros if installed?

it doesn't look like the cost is too exorbitant, probably $50 at most.

I think itll be more $$ than you think. its highly molded, OEM only part.
All comes down to:

- are you ever going to part the bike out and sell the exhaust separate?
- Do you like the look of it?

Road grime is going to get up there hugger or no hugger.

Nothing stops all road grime but
YES get the guards, well worth the $$ to protect your pipes and time in cleaning.

Ive been rolling with no hugger for about 10,000km and my Ti's still look minty after i wash the bike

Maybe just pay more attention to what gets flung up under your seat on to your exhaust. I wipe down my scorps with warm soapy water once every couple weeks to remove grime. I have a cut down rear hugger.
