yeah my mistake. but they probably donated the wrx to the city of industry or something similar. it's just a veiled advertising deal. it's more politically acceptable than raising taxes. or cutting spending, for that matter.

had unmarked WRX here in perth for a few yrs now...

and then they had Xr6turbos = faster than wrx in straight line and 13sec cable sedan

need to be real careful

We get this sort of thing in Oz - unmarked cars could be performance V8's, WRX's - all sorts of cars like this.

I've seen an unmarked mustang gt before and there is a guy on iwsti.com with an 05 sti he uses as an unmarked car for his department.

Out here in Oz the NSW Highway Patrol have been using WRX's since the late 90's........ Just this easter the QLD police have caused a stir when they took delivery of 4 unmarked Chrysler 300C's at $75000 a pop :spank: , 2 Mitubishi EVO X's :spank: , 4 VW Golf GTI's :spank: , 6 Honda Accord Euro's & wait for it 10 unmarked motorbikes ranging from BMW F800's to CBR 1000's More money wasted that could have been better spent on Hospitals...
