pod lights

does anybody know what the POD lights use for a socket. Mine does not have
any sockets and i would like to add them.

I believe the sockets are off the 03-04 R1's.

Or cut the entire "knob" off with a knife and stick the stock indicators up there

I installed my pod lights yesterday afternoon, using amber bulbs for running lights. I was considering using the pods as supplementary flashers, but decided against this as there are no reflectors inside the FZ6's pods.
It's an easy install if you take your time. I wired the pod lights directly to the feeds/ground wiring for the OEM front flasher running light circuit. (I have Watsen LED flush mounts installed).
Looks good.
