My personal experience working with plastics would be to be cautious with some products. Your face shield is most likely made of 2 parts and one part is a coating. Also consider that you have have weather seals that are a different material, that can deteriorate when exposed to the wrong chemicals.
I would shy away from Pledge but Plexus is good and always use a micro cloth as apposed to paper towels etc.

I'd be real hesitant of any thing but mild detergent and water - the anti-fog coating is pretty fragile and not protected. I'd guess if a strong cleaner ran across it, it'd leave an "etch" for lack of better words.

I only clean the inside about 1 in 10 for the outside and its very different texture. Quite clingy to the cloth!
