Please help me with this decision

If money is no object, then I would go with the lower faring. I just think it makes the bike look more muscular and complete.

But in the end, it is personal preference. There really is no right or wrong!

Lower faring IMO but look at me I cant decide between Leo's or Scorpion!!!

I like the cleaner lines of the lower faring over just the belly pan, although that does look good on the "racier" FZ6s, I did vote on the lower faring look.

Go with the new Scorp's Ash! The new conical ends look great and you can same hundreds of $. When I have $500 to drop, I'm getting the Scorp's.

Ok, I am adding some pictures so people can get a look at these pipes, as I said the leo's were $520 US with the shipping and the Scorpions were $245 with the shipping both sets used hence the price on both sets.

lower cowl.. compleats the bike IMO... but both give it a distinct look.. i just like the half naked look

I voted lower fairing. I will get the lower fairing myself when funds are available, but both look good to me. My .02

i voted for the belly pan because it gives the bike a different look from full faired bikes to our half faired. Another thing that i like (and did) was paint the hugger the came color of the bike or the same color as the belly pan (if you were to paint it). Here is what mine looks like.

I am Really stuck on deciding between a belly pan or a whole lower fairing. I am wanting my bike to just be something unique as well as something to finish the looks of the bike. The FZ6 looks great stock with just the upper fairing, but i want to finish off either the faired look, or a hooligan look (uppers and a lower cowling). Please help me decide, here are the two i am looking at.

Please let me know what you think looks best: stock, lower cowling, or a set of lowers.

Sorry, but I've just read this and I'm reading no further. Let me explain. I have (had) a similar problem. We in Oz only get options: two configurations and two colours. If you buy second hand you really get non. It doesn't matter what the options are here or there, its the option that YOU like for thye all reasons YOU want to consider. Of course if it was do with: will I get it with ABS or not (here we can't), do I get it lowered, what's the best fuel to run it on, does it ride easier fully faired, etc, then that's different and I've had huge help here in that regard. So go out there and consider: am I exhibitionist (like me) or a conservative? If the "birds" are important (I'm 68 and that's not an issue for me ) which one will pull better? Do I want to tour with my 10 year old daughter as pillion or be like Valentino ? Your choice will become clearer, just give it a bit of time and thought. Besides we are all thinking about the next bike we are going to buy after the the one we haven't yet bought.

The lower fairing gives it that..... every other bike look IMHO. I would leave it stock or go with the Cowling myself. Although if you really like the fairing... just do it, it will still be a very good looking bike. If you let others talk you out of doing what you really wanna do you are missing out on half the fun of having a bike!!

All things considered it is good to get majority opinions and I agree at the end of the day the decision is up to the individual, but you have to agree it's tons of fun getting all these different opinions and views from people to help you make up your own mind, look at me, Scorps or Leo's? just a lot of fun and a lot of knowledgable people taking part in these discussions, plus if you dont want to read on any further thats your decision, or we could have a poll

for me i like the complete look with the full lower fairings. gives the fz6 a more complete look. throw in side panniers and u get a mini fjr.

although you don't see it that often, I have always been a fan if the lower fairings on the s version. I think it makes the bike look very purposeful.

I voted for the full fairing. It just seems to look right with the already half fairing that is on the North American FZ6. Now if you are going to go through and go for the full naked look and change out the headlight, I think the belly pan would be the better choice.

Yea, i dont want to be that naked, i want something on it to stand out from a stock FZ6, and i personally HATE the looks of the 09 fully faired FZ6. Not really from having fairings, but for the OEM fairings do not look good on the 09 IMO.
