Yup,thats why I,m not buying in Oz.
Working on a price for Leo's and the scorps are $550us shipped.

Hey Ozfazer,
Im the same about not buying in oz. It sucks having to risk buying overseas but the oz suppliers just dont seem competitive at all. I got a price for The Carbon leo's from a place in the states called more power racing, PM me if you want me to forward an email i got from them. The carbon pipes are $647 but they have a voucher on theyre website for 5% off Leo's brings them down to $615 plus approx $100 postage. Got permission off to order them in about a month. Im already drooling, ohh cant wait.

Dont know if you guys have got it aswell but ive got a bit of vibration that comes through the footpegs pretty bad between 3500-5000 rpm (Not that low very often so dont notice it too much) but just wondering if the pipes or especially the PCIII helped reduce any vibrations? Im guessing being custom mapped and smoothed out yours would be awesome now wolfman.

That nasty vibration was one of the things i was hoping to fix, and the answer is yes, to a degree, there is still a little bit of vibration, but nowhere near what it was before PCIII.

One other thing it has helped with adding torque, is hill starts, and very low speed 180 degree turns, mnore torque, less snatchiness, means less bogging down, and less possiblity of unstableness.

Thanks Wolfman. Sounds good. The more power racing website that ive been looking at pipes on has the PCIII for $274US plus shipping. Thinking about doing the PCIII now and waiting a bit longer for the pipes.

Thanks

The reason i got the PCIII befor getting some decent pipes was because i wanted to see how much difference it made without the pipes first...plus i also have a modified OEM exhaust, which was done very well by an Exhaust specialist...my bike sounds great as it is, and breathes about 40% better thanks to modification, so my need for a decent aftermarket pipe is not that pressing, if all i wanted it for was the noise.

But hey, i still want a set of TB titanium pipes for the street cred, the noise, the light weight, and most importantly the possibility of another 3-5 horespower after another dynorun upon their installation, which would give me a 100 hp power FZ6, or close enough to it.

All you guys with PCIII and/or dynotune, please report back the mpg.

First tank after install = 17kpl, or in US gallons, 39.76 mpg.

But i have been riding a little harder than normal, as i have been revelling in my new found "Grunt".

As i mentioned in another thread, have had better reading's with stock.

I was told by the local custom shop that they would do the install and map it for $275, provided the I bought the PCIII from them at $325. No other work, just the kit and map, they have access to a dyno, so the work would be "in-house". This is very competitive for the area. GRUMPY

Seems kinda spendy. I bought my PCIII for $280 w/shipping and had mine dyno'd and tuned by a local shop from a guy with many years experience for $115 and got great results.

You guys dont know how good you have it price wise in the states, everything in Australia, is double to three times as expensive here! if you asked for a $115 for a dyno tune in Oz...they would laugh you out of the shop! $300 minimum. PCIII = $475...and this just came down from $550, thanks to the Australian Dollar trading almost one for one, for the first time in 30 years!

$115 is a great price. My tune was $350 or $380. I bought my PCIII from Ant_MB for $225 I think.

Ok, has anyone seen the Power Commander LCD contol unit, it has the ability to store multiple maps, which you can switch "on the fly". It also can replace stock instruments on some bikes, has a digital Speedometer, Tachometer, and Gear indicator on screen too!

Would be interested to know of anyone who has one, or knows much about them...it could be a useful item to have, you could switch from sport to commuter maps, etc.

here's the link to the power commander page with the low down on this product.

fuel economy is my biggest deterant for a pcIII. I was the one mentioned earlier who tuned using diag mode and made 95.79hp on the dyno with only leo vince exhaust (stock filter and airbox). i never get below 43mpg and usually see 48-52mpg. the lowest i have seen was while railing it for an entire tank and i logged 41.5mpg. this riding was scary fast though through some crazy twisty roads running 2nd and 3rd gear nearly the whole time.

What kind of mpg are you logging most days?

Last tank was 18km's a litre. It aint getting much better, but about 30% of my riding would rate as Sport riding....i live at the top of a hill, and am surrounded by nice twisty roads, and i do carry my son as a pillion quite a bit...weigh's 45kg.
