Most of the painted stuff on these bikes are far enough apart (example fender - fuel tank) that perfect matches are not required. Yours looks pretty good by the photos, Just ensure you paint the whole item

yeah patch would look bad was gonna try it for the whole front fairing cause of a few scratches on the side, wish there was a better way lol (and less labor intensive)

the thing about the metalcast is that it is a slightly transparent color, so depending on how thick you layer it it will be lighter or darker. if you want a perfect match get colorrite

trust me, the cap color always lies!

Paint: Black Frame/Engine Color Match So I came across a damaged stator cover from my old 07+ when I was cleaning the garage the other day and was wondering if I could fix it. I replaced it at the time because a can of true color-match paint is nearly $50 with shipping. Long story short; Off to Advance Auto i went. The first can I picked up was as close as I think you can get without paying the big bucks. Thought I would share: please see the photos below

I believe that was Skooter65 that posted that. I did get a can of it but he warned that it's not an exact match in different light conditions. I looked up the colorite paint for an 09 fz6 and it said black metalic, I wasnt sure if that was for the plastic or the frame/engine.

Looks really close the only person that will know is you but i didn't notice the frame was different than the engine
Looking at it now its definitely different I think I'm understanding your question more, I guess you would har to ask them at color rite as I have no personally experience with the product ;( apologize for the earlier incomplete answer
