After payin £240 for new tires I thought I was buying the michelin pilot road 3s.
Turns out they are original pilots.

Are they still making these and are they any good?

There are plenty of Michelin fans on this site, so hopefully they will chime in here. Seems strange that a vendor still has the original edition tho.
Have you received them yet? Definitely check the date on the sidewall.

If memory is correct they still make them or made them until recently. In my opinion they are not as good as the Pilot Road 3's. Was getting on the interstate (A road) in the wet on my CBR600RR which has the Dunlap Qualifers, 3rd gear not really into the power band and rolled onto the throttle hard - broke the rear loose in a big way. Trying to decide on Road 3's or Power 3's.

Curios what your date stamp is? It's a four digit number on the side of the tire. First two digits indicate the week of the year the last two digits the year. 4010 would indicated 40th week in the year 2010.

So what is it?
