Has anyone tried drilling the inner exhaust tip out? As you know there is an inner and outer exhaust tip has anyone tried drilling that out with something like a holesaw? Is it possible to remove the entire tubular baffle?

I did drill out my stock exhaust and it sounded a little bit more raspy, but it was'nt quite enough snarl for me, there is a couple posts on here that sort of lets you hear it. I ended up using a really long bit in my drill, and it took a little bit of patience. The T.B.s sound loads better but at the time I didnt have the 800 bucks for them.

The baffle is pretty much out of reach unless you want to cut the whole exhaust apart, remove the guts , then weld the thing back together. Good luck!

Do you mean something like the attached? I'd love to see what it looks and sounds like. I suggested it to someone on here that didn't want to buy and aftermarket, bet it improves the flow.

The red circle on the left can is where you would drill and the right can is what it would look like afterwards. Obviously I mean drill with the cover taken off first, would make it look much less scootery though IMHO!

Yeah something like that. But If you are looking at your picture one more step inward. There are 2 pipes that protrude one is only slightly bigger than the other. I want to drill that out.

My hope is that based on what I have read about the inside of the factory exhaust is that the tubular baffle you look into when you normally drill will come right out.

Similar to whats done on the honda 919

Honda 919 Bafflectomy

Drilling around that tubular baffle with holesaw will not let it come out, as it's attached further into the box as it goes through another internal wall, you'd need to work out a way to cut inside the pipe (is there a Dremel attatchment?)

Check out my photo album as I have drilled out te rear baffle and have also thought about doing this further mod to the stock can . . .

this is a useful diagram to understand what is going on inside the box
