In the process of putting it back together now, I've been pretty busy lately. I put the new shims in for the exhaust valves, I don't have my hopes up though. I'll post here as soon as I try to start it again. Thanks for the interest.

Success!!! Unfortunately I have no idea what the problem was. Adjusted valves, put it back together, bike was still acting the same. Let it sit for about 2 weeks, tried again. I tried it again last night and it sounded like it hit for just a split second with the throttle wide open. I gave it a shot of ether, still wouldnt do anything.
I ran through the diagnostic check one more time. Theres an ignition coil test which makes the plugs spark 5 times. When I did this there was a WHOOSH when it ignited the ether built up in the cylinders. The next time I tried to start her, started perfectly, ran perfectly. Like there was never anything wrong. :rockon: Only thing that bothers me is I still don't know what was wrong. Only time will tell.

Was wondering where this had ended up, thanks for the update! Still is puzzling what may have been the issue, so the compression is fine now? I know, you were out of gas

BTW, how tight were the valves? Just the exhaust valves tightened up?
Also, was the valve timing spot on before you pulled the cams (For the shim change)? I'm curious as to if they jumped a tooth or just the exhaust valves open with being too tight...

If memory serves, exhaust valve are supposed to be .23 to .30 mm, mine were all around .15, intake valves were all in spec.
The timimng was fine.
I think the small ether explosion may have had something to do with it, because it started fine after that. The fuel pump was working, maybe an injector clogged up? We used a lot of ****ty gas on the trip, could have had something to do with it.
