Do you use the Yamaha Manual's criteria of lubing chain every 500-miles with the new chains lubes?

I'm using DuPont's Teflon Chain Saver.

Probably do it every 500 kms and after each decent ride. 500 miles is probably a bit long IMO

i lube every time i wash the bike.. which is way less than 500 miles for most times.. but then again when i had the tech check the chain.. he said it was one of the best he'd ever seen.. more in this case can't hurt i guess...
