A new Yamaha Super Tenere 1200 parallel twin dual sport is about to go on sale in Europe.

Yeah the motor is awesome maybe 120 HP...

Oh c'mon. ADV bikes should be ugly. It's not a beauty contest. It's a travel the world contest.

I dig it. Though on the whole, 1200 adventure bikes are too tall and heavy for my taste. I like the mid-weights.

I was wondering if anyone else would pick this up.
Some particularly useless waste of money magazines lately apart from filling their pages with more adds, boring one in a million use articles, and showing how to spend thousands on upgrades that really don't require coverage, are now showing make beleive bikes to try and keep interest up when they don't have any proper information or data. Its really getting irritating because I don't buy magazines to see what some lazy editor dreamed up to fill the pages.

the 1200 isnt listed from what I found. But I did see they still list a Banshee thats not fair......

check the yamaha motor europe website. I think a 1200 parallel twin in the FZ6 frame would be the way to go!!!!!

Yamaha has been making motorcycles for over 50 years I think they know what they're doing. They also have been making parallel twins for over 30 years. when the XTZ1200 comes out kaw,suz,ktm,bmw and honda will be the the ones trying to catch up.
