Well kind of...

So we have been in "beautiful" Oklahoma for about 18 months now. It's been interesting. Relocated, new job, laid off, three HUGE tornados, new job, new baby (at age 48!!!!), travel for work, work like crazy, travel for work...

With no uncertain terms the roads here are flat and straight for 100+ miles! :(

My Tuono is not happy, the R6 gets started every 2 to 3 weeks...with the lack of work ethic here (not on my part...the project bikes are stalled.)

So the solution??? Well another motorcycle, of course!

The boys at AF1Racing were dealing "crack" again, so I added to the stable last Saturday.

A 2013 Moto Guzzi Stelvio. It's billed as an Adventure - Touring bike, but really it's the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden an perfect for the craptacural roads here.

Join the relocation club. Unlike you, I went to no good roads to motorcycle playground. Although I really don't care for the city of Boise itself. Too small. Wonder how many of us have moved since joining the forum.

Very nice, Pete! MG makes interesting bikes. I just saw California in person few days ago and I gotta say, it's the nicest looking cruiser I've seen to date!

Guess it shows how little I pay attention! I didn't know you moved, Pete.

I've been to AF1 several times, seen their cool selections. I've seen a Stelvio or two on the road also and a buddy of mine his a MG Quota, the predecessor to the Stelvio. Very nice bikes indeed. One of the guys that comes to Thursday lunches has a MG Norge, a cool sport touring bike.

I also drool every time I go there and see the Aprilia Shiver 750.

If I can get my hands on a project bike I want one of those Honda CX's with a MG inspired V twin...

I can't explain it. Italian bikes have this feeling in their design. I don't get it but it's always there.

Congratulations!

Wait...Moto Guzzi makes an adventure bike? Nice find!

It would be nice if the fz6 was that comfortable out of the box...

So I'm "plotting" a tour for this summer; OKC to the Seattle area.

The rough route is Follow the Rockies. New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, and maybe to Vancouver.

Then I'd ship the bike back to OKC as I can't take the time off from work the ride back.

As always a couple of rules. 1) Minimal interstate 2) No firm time table 3) Find as many twisty roads as possible.

I'm still tweaking the route but I've got a rough outline.
