Mine was 1,285 days.

I think we should give a special cash award to the person with the most days!

590 something days for me. Thought it was an odd number to trigger a change. They must have added a new bit of software to the site. I wonder what the normal 'trigger' time is?

1410 days here! That's 3.8 years!!! I'm conditioned to use that password and now I have to change it??? :Flip:

They must've changed something to make everyone update their passwords. Time to start from scratch, guys...lol.

*edit* Now that I look at my join date, 3.8 years would be the same password that I've had since I joined. Wow, I've been here for a while, haven't I?

I'm wondering if it could have to do with encryption strength of your password?

it's always good to change your password every once in a while.
many times, it's the password that's the weak link with respect to security.

change the password to your other online accounts, too, like your online banking and credit card accounts. this is especially true if you use a public computer, where your password can be captured through keystroke logging and packet sniffing.

don't use the same password for all your online accounts. what if someone gets your unecrypted password to some lame website, and uses it for your online bank account???!!

I DONT WANT TO SEE ANY OF YOU FOLKS VICTIMS OF IDENTITY THEFT!!!!

Unlikely......Mine's 294 days old, and is pretty convoluted, and just basically as nasty as I can make it .......so's my new one:(

Upper and lower case, letters, numbers, and symbols. No words or birthdates or anything in any way meaningful. And as many characters as you can. Why make it easy for anyone to get into your stuff.
