Hi everyone, new FZ rider here and I thought I'd introduce myself.
First off, I'm a n00b with about 3k miles of riding experience since this past November. I completed the MSF BRC and then got my first bike, an '07 SV650S, put 2500 miles on it and traded it for my new FZ. I got the faster blue color, it came shod with Michelin Pilots  and since Friday I've put about 200 miles on it already up in the North GA mountain region.
Secondly, this is a great forum and i've learned some things already just from lurking about. I don't agree with some that maintain the FZ is a "great beginner bike", it is NOT a beginner's bike in the least. This isn't a bike I'll outgrow anytime soon, it is refined and fast, smooth and comfortable and looks great to boot. The throttle and clutch can be a little touchy, hence all the more reason i don't think it should be a n00b's first bike. I love it already though, I wouldn't want any other bike. The best part about it for me is that I ended up with a better financial deal getting off the SV, so that really makes the upgrade even sweeter.
Now on to looking for mods...
