New bike?

I broke my thumb last fall (Titanium plate and six screws later) am unable to ride a sportbike anymore without a great deal of pain in my hand. Rode my buddys cruiser the other day and was pretty comfortable. Any suggestions on what I should get? Thinking maybe a Yamaha Raider or maybe a Victory.

I like the Honda Shadows as well. Mine was a shaft drive. Nice not to have chain maintinence, just change the gearbox oil once a season or so..

I rode my buddies honda shadow, hard to tell from his though. He doesn't take very good care of it. Need to test ride a better one.

Rode a Yamaha Warrior the other week. If you can get used to a bike that redlines at 5k then it may be the bike for you ! According to the literature it has the same suspension as an R1 so it must be fast.

I've riden the ducati gt1000 and loved it. Web Bike World has an article about it if you'd like to have a look. The seating position is pretty much vertical. Give it a go, if it's comfy for you, I think it could be a bit more interesting than a cruiser.
