What kind of riding? If you're thinking v-twin, an Aprilia Shiver could be fun. Done a few hundred kms on one recently, including a sting Sunday, and quite like it.

Speed/Street Triple? My two favourite bikes :)

I went with a Triumph Daytona 675 for my second bike, was looking for a track bike. Rode the Street Triple R at that time as well and if I was looking for replacement that would have been it for me!!!

Well, you need to decide your budget and which style you'd rather have for starters :) The options are endless.

I'd avoid a Ducati if it's going to be used daily.

Its always funny when no one has any idea what an FZ6 is, yet everyones heard of the good ole FZ1.
Even the old guys my Dad knows who won't even look at a Jap bike will mention them from time to time.

if it were up to me, and if my price range were around the 8k mark, i would put in a little extra coin and get a triumph sprint ST, maybe a used one. same concept as FZ as a very sporty sport tourer...but with added size, comfort, and juice.

What type of bike do you want? Supersport/-bike, naked, touring, dual sport? Engine size? Price?

Off the top of my head:

-600-750 range:
>Supersports: Kawasaki ZX6-R 2009+, Honda CBR 600 RR 2008+, Suzuki GSX-R 750 2008+
>Naked: Triumph Street Triple R

-800-1200 range:
>Superbikes: Ducati 848, Ducati 1198, BMW S1000RR, Aprilia RSV4
>Nakeds: Ducati Streetfighter, Triumph Speed Triple

Good luck finding a new bike :)

Enviable position, looking for a new bike. You need to buy what fits your style and budget. If it were for me I would...

+1 on the KTM Super Duke. I'd love to try one out:thumbup:.
