Need oil

Not near my bike right now, and about to go for a long ride tomorrow. I noticed that I was low on oil and haven't had to put oil in since I just got it. I also don't have owners manual. What oil do I put in a 2005 yamaha fz6

From my experience when the FZ6 starts to use oil it's time for an oil change, even if it's not due by the mileage.

UK (and European?) FZ6 are due at 6000 mile intervals and the US version is at 4000 miles.

Shouldnt be any difference between the US and Euro versions in terms of oil change frequency. Better oil over there...

Nah, I definitely meant miles and the service intervals are definitely shorter on the US version if FZ6

Many maintenance items are determined by environmental and consumer rights laws. This is why car timing belts get changed at 100k miles in California and 60k every else.
